Young Chef Winners

Jessica and Michealla
Emily and Chloe

Twenty-three young people from Southam College took part in the first round of the Rotary Young Chef competition.  Students were asked to cook and present a two course meal costing less than £10.  The presentation had to be timed to perfection as the judges gathered.  These included Mike Gaffney (Rotarian and Mayor of Southam), Mr Eadon (representing the College) and others from the Rotary clubs involved.

The results were very close as all the food was of an excellent standard.  Four students go forward to the Heart of England Rotary round early in the new year.  Winners were Chloe Morse and Emily Buckley both from year 11, with  Jessica Burton and Michaela Coleman from year 9.  Runners up, taking the reserve place, were Eva Durman and Megan Hickey from year 7.

The competition was organised jointly by Southam 2000 Rotary and Southam Rotary.
