We are part of Rotary International, which is the world's largest service organisation. The club has several committees, each of which provide a different type of service; more information is available from the Club Activities pages. If you are a Rotarian visiting the area, you will be made welcome at one of our meetings - check the venue and programme pages for more details.
The main objective of Rotary is service - in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world. Rotarians develop community service projects that address many of today's most crirical issues, such as children at risk, poverty and hunger, the environment, illeteracy, and violence. They also support programmes for youth, educational opportunities and international exchanges for students, teachers, and other professionals, and vocational and career development.
Alcester, an ancient Roman town
Alscester is in a beautiful part of south-west Warwickshire and is the home of Rotary In Britain and Ireland (RIBI) as well as the Alcester Rotary Club
The original settlement dates back at least to Roman times and there are many archaeological sites of interest in the town and surrounding area. The high street is reminiscent of a by gone era and preserved Tudor cottages and other historical buildings are dotted throughout. Find out more about the history of Alcester.
Today, Alcester is a thriving rural town with lots to offer its residents and the many visitors we have throughout the year. Find out More about Alcester
