New Member welcomed to the Club
We are very pleased to welcome Robert as a member of the Edgbaston Rotary Club. Robert has worked with charities, both voluntary and professionally all his life, and is the CEO of Cerebral Palsy Midlands, which is based in Harborne.
Robert told the club that Rotary had helped him and his family when he was very young, and he is pleased to have come full circle and, through Rotary, be given the oportunity to help others.
Shoe Box Appeal
Perryfields High School, Oldbury has been working with Hurst Green Home and Garden Store for four years and the Rotary Club of Edgbaston Shoe Box Appeal is now an integral part of the school's calender. The school challenges students to create 'thoughtful' shoe box gifts which will make a difference to the lives of children and families. A bumper response this year saw 120 boxes collected. The club would like to thank the children and families for their support again this year. The picture shows some of the school children with Rotarian Mike Ward and Deputy Headmistress Sharon Cammies.
Louise Hazel the highly talented heptathlete visiting Edgbaston Rotary Club
The Rotary Club of Edgbaston is pleased to have supported Louise in her quest to represent Great Britain in 2012
