Valentine's Night Dinner Dance

LSC Valentines night 1

On the 14th February 2012 (Valentines Night) Fifty six Rotarians and guests sat down for a black tie dinner followed by live music for dancing or just listening.

The George Hotels staff pulled out all the stops to produce and serve a dinner suited to the occasion, which was enjoyed by all. Following the dinner all the ladies received a gift of a heart shaped box of milk tray chocolates to mark Valentine’s night from the President John.

January has been a short Rotary month with just two speakers and Julian giving the members a talk about his job on the last day of the month. Several members had memories of youth exchange from the earlier days of the club when their children took part. It was good to find that it still carries on with just a few changes over the years and is doing good things and opening opportunities for many around the Rotary World.
