7 International students aged between 18 - 21 mainly from Europe will take part in the 2011 Rotary Youth Leadrship Award programme where they will stay with Rotary hosts for part of the programme. The Rotary Club of Alcester Alauna will again be hosting 2 of the students during their stay in the UK |

The District 1060 Young Carers programme arranges for young carers between the ages of 10 - 16 to enjoy a holiday on the canal boat Dream Catcher and take a respite from their duties. Jointly with the Southam club, our club supports an Interact Club (Rotary for 16 to 18 year olds) in Southam College. This is proving very popular with up to 30 members taking apart in their regular activities. |

This scheme provides holidays for youngsters who would otherwise never enjoy a holiday break to help them re-charge their energies and enjoy a change of scenery. Southam 2000 has sponsored local children taking part for many years. |

In conjunction with Southam College and local businesses we organise the local heat of the Rotary Young Chef competition. We organise the local heat at the college. The winner goes on the the Midlands heat and maybe to the national final. |

This project is aimed at younger pupils in local primary schools. Each year, the Club has donated special Rotary versions of Usbourne Dictionaries to all pupils in their last year at the schools. |
